Environmental policy
Policy for systematic environmental work.
This document is a translation. In case of differences in interpretation, the Swedish version applies.
1. Our environmental direction
Precisionstål shall run its business with regard for the environment and work systematically to reduce negative environmental impact in the areas the company can control or influence. Environmental work shall be proportionate to the scale, risks and environmental aspects of the business.
2. Our commitments
- comply with applicable environmental legislation, regulatory requirements and other environmental requirements the company has undertaken;
- prevent pollution and limit spillage, scrap and unnecessary waste;
- promote efficient use of material, energy, packaging and transport;
- sort and handle waste responsibly and prioritise reuse and recycling where practically possible;
- take environmental performance into account when selecting and following up suppliers and transport solutions where relevant;
- consider a life cycle perspective on the products and services the company buys, stocks, processes or sells, to the extent the company can influence this;
- identify significant environmental aspects and relevant climate-related risks and opportunities;
- continually improve environmental work and, where possible, environmental performance.
3. Environmental aspects and objectives
The company shall regularly assess which environmental aspects are most relevant. For Precisionstål’s business these may include material use, metal scrap, packaging, energy, transport, waste and the supply chain. Management sets measurable environmental objectives where needed and follows up on the outcome.
4. Purchasing and suppliers
When purchasing, Precisionstål shall — where commercially and technically possible — weigh in material efficiency, documented compliance with chemical and environmental requirements, transport arrangements, recyclability and the supplier’s own environmental work.
5. Responsibility, incidents and improvement
The managing director has overall responsibility for environmental work. Employees shall follow established routines and report environmental incidents, non-conformities and improvement suggestions. Relevant incidents shall be investigated and corrective action decided.
6. Communication and review
The policy shall be known within the business, be available to relevant stakeholders and be reviewed at least annually and on material changes.
